Mutiple people Body Temperature Screening System Single people Body Temperature Screening SystemThis article will introduce the process of setting up the firewall on Foscam HD cameras. Enabling this feature allows access to a setting of the camera called IP Filtering. This allows specific IP addresses to access or can block specific IP addresses from accessing the camera. See the examples posted below for reference purposes.
Please be sure all Pop Up Blockers are disabled on the web browser used to configure the camera. These will interrupt the configuration process and cause issues with the setup of the camera.
Steps to Enable Feature:
Login to the camera via a web browser and navigate to Settings --> Firewall --> IP Filtering menu, Check the checkbox near Enable Firewall to enable the option.
1) To
block multiple IP address, choose the option “Block access from these IP
addresses” and input the information for those addresses that need to be
blocked.
2)To
share the camera with only a few individuals, choose the option “Only allow
access from these IP addresses.”.
After the information is entered and the Save button is clicked the firewall will engage. After this moment blocked IP addresses will no longer have access to the camera or only the allowed IP addresses will be able to access the camera.
Note:When the configuration settings are setup in such a way that only specific IP addresses can access the camera make sure to add the IP address of the computer currently accessing the camera. Make sure the computer being used has a fixed IP address. If the address of this computer changes it will be unable to access the camera.
“The Allow Access from the IP Addresses” setting is only appropriate for devices which have FIXED IP Addresses.
