Temperature Measurement Solution
Mutiple people Body Temperature Screening System Single people Body Temperature Screening SystemAfter a new hard drive has been installed the NVR does not recognize that a drive has been installed when attempting to search for it or display hard drive information via the software.
Most likely the reason is one of the following:
1) The replacement hard drive was not installed correctly. (Cable unplugged or incorrectly plugged in)
2) The replacement hard drive was not formatted correctly so the software does not recognize the file system currently in place on the hard drive.
3) This hard drive is not compatible with the NVR.
4) If the hard drive is new it’s possible that an out of box failure may have occurred. Check to see if you can hear the drive spinning up and what sounds like the hard drive internal head launching.
Viable solutions:
1. Confirm that this make and model of hard drive is compatible with the NVR. Click here for the list.
2. Verify that the power cable and data cable are properly connected and seated to the back of the replacement hard drive.
3. Check that the hard drive status light on the NVR is normal. If there is an issue sometimes the NVR will emit an alert sound. If the hard drive status light is red this is an indication that the drive has not been recognized by the NVR. Check the cabling and listen to see if you can hear the hard drive spinning up.
4. Verify that the hard drive has been properly formatted for use with the NVR. Since the drive is to be dedicated for use on the NVR attempt to re-format the drive by using the NVR.
