Temperature Measurement Solution
Mutiple people Body Temperature Screening System Single people Body Temperature Screening SystemThis article will introduce the process of setting up a Foscam camera that has the WPS feature. This feature allows the WIFI configuration of a camera without having to enter any type of password to the camera via the Foscam app or the web GUI interface. Check for a button labeled WPS on the outside of the camera. If the button is present the camera has this feature. Not all wireless routers have this button/feature. If the router and the camera both have this button available pressing the button on both units will allow the camera to connect without the use of a password.
Note: Please be sure to power on the camera before proceeding with the steps below.
Step1:
After the camera is turned on standby for a few moments for the self-test to complete and if the camera has the voice feature it will announce waiting for WIFI configuration. On a PT camera, the camera will go through the full range of motions to verify operation. Once the self-test process is completed press and hold the WPS button on the camera for three seconds. The button is located either on the back or the body of the camera. The green networking light on the camera will begin to flash quickly. On newer Foscam models the camera will announce WPS activated.
Step2:
Press the WPS button on the router or enable the WPS feature within one minute. Standby for the WPS light (green) on the camera to blink.
Step3:
The camera will now attempt to connect to the router. This process may take a few minutes to complete. The green light on the camera will begin to blink slowly indicated the wireless connection was a success. Newer Foscam products will announce wireless connection succeeded.
The IP address can be confirmed by logging into the WIFI router with a web browser. The IP address of the camera should now be displayed under the list of Wireless Devices connected to the router. The alternative method is to launch the Equipment Search Tool. It should now show the camera’s information once the program obtains the network information. Be sure to disable any virtual network driver’s that may be installed on Windows based computers which may have been installed by programs such as Oracle’s VirtualBox before launching the Equipment Search Tool.
