What causes a video connection failure while using the CMS software and is there a way to correct it?
This article will introduce the solutions for correcting no video feed conditions
while using the Foscam CMS Video Monitoring Software.
The reason video feed may not be displayed or interrupted while
using the CMS can be for a variety of reasons.
The steps below will assist with
troubleshooting and resolving the situation.
1) Double check that the settings are correct when attempting to add a camera.
Verify the configuration parameters of the camera; these include the IP address, port, username and the password.
2) Make sure while viewing the Live Video tab that the correct camera icon is selected to view video.
3) Verify that the camera and computer are connected to the same LAN and same router.
For WAN connection setups verify that the camera is connected to the internet and that a P2P is configured to connect. Otherwise setup remote access to use DDNS or WAN IP to connect.
4) Verify the CMS software is updated to version 1.4.14 or use the Foscam VMS Software instead for HD cameras.
