How to add a Foscam camera to Foscam NVR using the monitor?
Overview: This article will introduce the procedure to add a Foscam camera connected to the LAN to a Foscam NVR via the web browser. This involves logging directly into the NVR system via it’s GUI interface. A monitor, keyboard and mouse will need to be connected directly to the NVR. Note: Verify that the Foscam camera is connected to the same LAN that the NVR is connected to. Step 1: Input the username and password of the NVR to log into Monitor.
Right click and navigate to Menu → Adding Devices → and gain access to the Adding Devices Interface
Step 2: Refresh the list and select the camera to be added to the NVR. • Use the slider bar if there are multiple devices displayed on the LAN to find the camera.
• After selecting the camera click the Add button.
Step 3: Select the channel; input the username and password for the camera being added, select the Channel (window assignment which the video feed will be displayed on) and choose protocol. Protocol definitions
Foscam Protocol: High Definition (HD) IP camera by Foscam
MJ Protocol: Standard Definition (SD) IP camera by Foscam
Step 4: Click the OK button to finish adding the camera to the NVR; the camera will now be added to the IP camera list
Step 5: Click Save to store the configuration to the NVR
Step 6: Right click to return to the live video interface; the new camera will be displayed in the right channel.
Note: Be sure to assign different Channel numbers to different cameras so they will all be monitored and displayed accordingly. It is recommended to map out the display channels first and then assign them accordingly.
