Temperature Measurement Solution
Mutiple people Body Temperature Screening System Single people Body Temperature Screening SystemOverview: Sometimes the camera can be set up for port forwarding but some outside reason is preventing the service from functioning properly. Many reasons can cause this including improper router settings, improper configuration of the camera or the ISP blocking the port forwarding.
Solutions:
Step 1: Double check that the port forward settings on the router are correct.
The camera/NVR http port and the local IP address are needed when forwarding the port on a router.
Step 2: Check to see if there is more than one router on the network.
If there is more than one router connected to the network before reaching the outside internet port forwarding is going to need to be done on each router.
Example: ISP Router 1 Router 2 Camera
In this scenario, the Camera’s LAN IP and http port will need to be port forwarded on Router 2 first. Followed by Router 2’s WAN IP and the camera’s http port to do port forwarding on Router 1.
Check to see if Router 2 has a static WAN IP and implement this for the settings to work properly. Otherwise the next time the network is power cycled or a change is made the settings will be incorrect and the camera will lose connection.
Step 3: Change the http port and reconfigure port forwarding on the router.
In the event the port is being used by another service any port between 0-65535 is ok to use. It is suggested that four digits of uncommon port numbers is used in this event.
Step 4: Some ISP providers block certain ports; after attempting the troubleshooting steps above results in failure contact your ISP to directly open a port for you.
